We held a retreat for mothers with difficult fertility and pregnancy journeys and wanted to start with prayer and a social event. Prayer Wine Chocolate was the perfect Catholic retreat addition. We started out setting an intention for the retreat and praying the rosary together and then moved on to wine and chocolate. We were even able to get the wine donated. It was the perfect opportunity to set the tone, break the ice, and bind with other Catholic women. The retreat guide made it feel easy and possible. I liked the three different types of events with step by step directions to help guide the process. Amy was also easy to reach when I had questions along the way. I highly recommend doing this on even the smallest scale to bring the rosary and prayer into your “village” and women’s circle of support.

Oh my goodness, that sketch by Kate Capato is stunning, never saw it before. What a helpful list of saint items, I don’t know anyone using the name Veronica, but I do know some people who could use St Francis items (which I see you also link).

I absolutely LOVE my Prayer, Wine, Chocolate hoodie. The Maroon is a great color and pairs well with my class of red! 🙂 I love wearing it to my parish Prayer, Wine, Chocolate events as well as an everyday hoodie. I get lots of smiles from strangers and comments like, “I love that shirt.”

My daughter gave me the Ave Maria women's Bible last year for Christmas, and I was sooooooo happy!! My husband and I always give nativity sets as Christmas gifts. That was the one thing we realized we didn't have when we decorated for our first Christmas (my mother had already given us a Bible ).
