My best advice: 1. Get involved with what school activities they choose; this way you will know their friends and their parents. You will get to witness a lot of excitement and growth. 2. Find a good youth group and bring them to it. Get involved as much as you can. It’s a sacrifice, yes, but the rewards are priceless. I don’t have much time to myself right now but I wouldn’t miss this for the world. I’ll have time later.
Yes, high school has a completely different mindset than grade school, but it’s an exciting time for your child; it goes very quickly; my suggestion is to embrace it and ride the wave. You won’t regret it.

I was just thinking I did all these things up until high school. And boy did my last born suffer in high school, even graduating late!

AUGH!!! Totally different mindset, 100%, than middle or elementary. It’s all about: what will she be when she grows up. Help me, LOL. But the school and the teachers are AWWWWWESOME! So excited for her, and doing a Bible study to help support her this summer so she can be confident in the fall.
