Veronica is one of my favorite names. When I was preparing for Confirmation, it was a name I had in mind, but that’s a story for another day.

When I was in college, my mother had a baby girl! She sat in the hospital holding this beautiful child the day they were supposed to come home and she did not yet have a name. My mother told my siblings and I that her and my dad were thinking of naming her Bernadette or Veronica (I also love and loved the name Bernadette – that was the other name I had hoped would be my Confirmation name a decade earlier!!).

I shouted Veronica!!!! And it seemed to be an overall consent.

Veronica is her name. I am not only her sister, but I am also her Godmother!

In a few weeks, my niece will be getting Confirmed. Her Saint she chose is – you guessed it – Saint Veronica.

So naturally, I’m on the search for Saint Veronica gifts. Here is what I have found and am loving!
