I so enjoy having them all at our house for a few hours on Christmas Day sharing a meal and opening gifts. We kept it simple this year; one gift for each that they really wanted. I made small “money” bags for $5 worth of quarters to put in their stockings.
We had a real tree for the first time in many many years. I enjoy sitting in the living room with no lights but the Christmas tree lights on listening to Christmas music. I will do that every evening until the tree comes sometime around January 10.
Some of all I enjoy having my husband here with me for one more Christmas. Four years ago just before Christmas we were told he has ALS. We don’t know how many more we will have so it makes each one special.

We also had a lot of family Christmas parties, and I needed that time to decompress too!

Since we spend Christmas with my husband and his family, I was looking forward to bringing some of my family traditions over … like eating mushroom soup on Christmas Eve (Polish tradition), and a few other things. I like tradition! 🙂
