My husband, Matt, cooked the Turkey yesterday! Thankful for him for sure!
I’m so thankful for my family.
Thanksgiving wasn’t perfect, my parents couldn’t join us because they are sick (please pray for them!) and I have been battling a cough that won’t quit for over a week, but life is full of blessings among its challenges!

My brother made the kids laugh hysterically.
And having siblings is such a blessing!
Not pictured- my sister and brother-in-law that hosted.
Special thank you to them too!

I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for you too!

I’m so thankful @voyagecomics exists! I put this small Catholic business on my gift guide, but couldn’t include pictures with every suggestion. My 11 year old truly enjoys reading these Catholic comic books, and we started reading that Voyage Classic together the other night! I was looking up when it was originally published and said it out loud…”1912” And he responds right away, “the year the Titanic sunk”.
Haha, why yes, that is correct!

Three ways to nourish and encourage faith during t

Three ways to nourish and encourage faith during those tween years:
1. Show a sincere interest in their interests and point out their virtues and strengths. Share stories from your life at that age. Yes, they do want to hear your stories… which probably include similar worries and struggles!
2. Assure her that God has given her talents and missions that are unique to her alone. Reassure her that what may seem like little acts of kindness are really big and amazing. Tell her that she will discover greater talents in the future, but every act of love is heroic.
3. Model and share acts of service that bring you JOY. When discussing how God created us to know Him, love Him and serve Him, point out that many ways we serve are enjoyable! Simply sharing a smile is doing the Lord’s work in some situations.

And BONUS TIP- Even the Holy Family didn’t smoothly sail through these years ask… pray a lot, it helps!!!

When Hannah was in the thick of her “tween years

When Hannah was in the thick of her “tween years “, the Be Yourself Journal was published and I gave her one. She helped me promote it by letting me take her picture with it -and we even had a Be Yourself Journal party at her house where we decorated the back cover with some of her friends and sisters.
Hannah is now a young adult, and when we were talking the other night at the Sip and Shop she said, “I used my journal EVERY DAY!
I asked her if she would right that down so others could see how enjoyable and helpful this journal truly is!
She said yes 🙂
