The 10 Best Baby Shower Gifts NOT on Her Registry (Part 2)

Before the twins were born, I wrote a post titled: The 10 Best Baby Shower Gifts NOT on Her Registry

because there were gifts I received that I had not registered for.

And now, after the twins, I have a few more ideas to share.

A Teething Necklace

When my oldest was a baby, I was not yet wearing a Miraculous Medal necklace everyday.  The twins pulled off several and I think I’m on my 4th chain since they were born.  They not only loved tugging on it, they also love putting whatever is around your neck, in their mouths.  Every mom should have a teething necklace!  The babies love it, and your necklace can be spared!

This company, ChewsLife, also has other great products that include pacifier clips, teething rosaries and gorgeous rosary bracelets!

A Baby Walker

For our oldest son, we didn’t have one of these.  I think I heard someone say “they don’t make those anymore” and I believed them.  I also heard that they didn’t make them because kids fell down the steps in them.  Then, I found out I was one of those kids.  I turned out alright.

We were given two when we brought home the twins and I LOVED having them.  We would bring them out on the deck and use them inside.  Neither of the twins took a trip down any staircases.  Totally recommend getting one (or two or three if expecting multiples)!

I love the brand Joovy – they make this one pictured above: Joovy Spoon Walker, Charcoal,One Size.  We also love our Joovy Double Stroller, which I wrote about here: A Leisurely Stroll is a Gift

Baby Bottle Holder for Hands Free Bottle Feeding by Bebe Bottle Sling

Do you know someone pregnant with twins or multiples?  They NEED this.  Trust me.

The Best Bib Ever

My sister-in-law uses this for her 2 year old daughter – and been using them for quite some time.  Her clothes stay nice and the mess stays contained.  I can not say the same about my toddlers!

Another experienced mom said she was given a laundry basket full of items like Stain remover sticks,

carpet stain remover,

baby laundry detergent

and more stain remover!

A Water Bottle

I did not nurse, but, a friend of mine who did says:

“As a nursing mom, you are always thirsty the minute you sit down to nurse. And you nurse all of the time. An insulated glass with lid and handle changed my life!”

Okay, so you may or may not want a “prayer wine chocolate” water bottle, but this seemed like a great time to plug it!  Another suggestion is this Clear Thermal Mug with Handle, Lid & Straw which is available on Amazon!

Amazon Gift Cards for Diaper (and everything else) Delivery!

We are all trying to get rid of clutter and all.the.stuff!  Give her gift cards so that when she needs size 3 diapers, she can order them then!

Thank you Tammy from Chasing Time and Drinking Wine for that suggestions!  She is so wise!

A Humidifier

We have had several midnight runs to the CVS to get whatever one of these they had.  I highly recommend getting a good one.  There is only so much you can do when baby gets an inevitable cough or cold, and these really help them sleep!

Great list of ideas! I think the one that I found most useful is the humidifier. I wish I’d had it on my baby registry. We use it all the time during the winter and it was an expensive buy for new parents. Thanks for the ideas!
