Life lately… Is anyone else exhausted? Feeling o

Life lately…
Is anyone else exhausted? Feeling over extended?
Slightly overwhelmed?

Apparently I have been assured this is a norm for the month of September.

One thing I feel strongly about… scheduling time to pray with a friend.

We need to pray for peace within ourselves and our world.

Our Lord Jesus told us that whenever 2 or 3 gather in His name, there He is!!!

I believe God is above time.

I am tempted to say, “I’m too busy to go pray with the other moms”, and confession, I gave into that temptation many times last year.

This year, I’m making a conscious effort to make praying with others a higher priority.

I also highly recommend putting an evening on the calendar for a Rosary and a glass of wine with a friend.

And I decided to go ahead and plan another Prayer Wine Chocolate Retreat…

I hope you’ll put that on your calendar too.

I learned about journaling from a guy friend in my

I learned about journaling from a guy friend in my 20’s.

It wasn’t a woman who shared how journaling can be incredibly helpful…it was a man.

The man that introduced me to journaling picked up the practice in his late teens.

After an attempt to commit suicide, a counselor encouraged him to use a journal.

He did this into his 20’s.

Teaching our sons to journal is not only great for his mental health, but it’s also incredibly helpful to his soul.

I have a few Be Yourself Boy Journals in stock.
They are perfect for ages 9 and up.

I was so tired of feeling like I couldn’t afford

I was so tired of feeling like I couldn’t afford to go on a fun and fruitful retreat or pilgrimage… so I created one that I could afford.

Money and family obligations prevented me from going away to an Italian wine and shrine pilgrimage… but then I took a closer look at where I live and improvised.

The first Prayer Wine Chocolate Retreat included a visit to the Saint Katharine Drexel Shrine and two local wineries.
Since then we’ve visited at least 3 other shrines and even had an entire Retreat Day at a Vineyard/Winery.

I’ve had attendees tell me my retreats are “like Christmas for moms”!

But I understand not everyone lives in driving distance from Philadelphia… so I wrote a DIY Retreat Guide so that YOU —- YES YOU-

I wasn’t expecting her request…

The other night I changed up my “tuck in routine “ with the twins.
Normally I play someone singing the Hail Mary from YouTube as I lay on the floor next to the bed. (This started as me singing to them but then I realized I could play it and it sounds much better, plus I’m 😴 🥱 😂)

But one night last week I turned on Hallow and played the Rosary led by @jonathanroumieofficial
I did this because I’m trying to pray the 54 day novena and I had missed praying that day.

So, I played the whole Rosary.

After it finished, I heard this request:

“Can you play it again?”

Sure, I said.
I played the next one and within minutes, she was fast asleep. 😴

Last night when I was just beginning to tuck her in she said, “can you play the prayer?”

She meant the Rosary on @hallowapp , not the song.

So I did.

This is just one way the Hallow App has been helpful to me. If you want to try it, I have been blessed to been given a special l*nk.

I thought I’d end up sharing a checklist. I lear

I thought I’d end up sharing a checklist.
I learned that simple faith is so much bigger than all the researching and networking and effort any person can do.

We need faith.
We need hope.
We need to come together in prayer.

Then we need to notice the glory and MAGNIFICENCE of God.

What was my second reason?
I wanted to write Christmas gift guides that had faith-centered gifts to help others to keep Christ in Christmas.

God continues to dazzle me in this venture…
