Spiritual Stocking Stuffers for Women

Jesus is the Reason for the Season . . . and these gifts remind both the giver and the receiver of all of life’s blessings šŸ™‚ Ā If she’s been good, and I am sure she has, fill up her stocking with several of these gifts!

A Miraculous Medal Necklace

Ever since I read that Our Blessed Mother promises extra graces to those who wear this medal around their neck; I have been pretty committed to wearing one daily. Ā I love a small Miraculous Medal that I can wear all the time, even when I sleep. Ā I found a very pretty one here on Amazon:Ā Miraculous Medal Pendant Necklace

Another simple Miraculous Medal necklace is available online at the Miraculous Medal Gift Shop:Ā Round Miraculous Medal Necklace. Ā I was wearing this every day – until my son accidentally pulled it off my neck and broke the chain. Ā A replacement is on my Christmas list!

blessedmessmiraculousmedal2Looking for something more trendy or handmade? Ā Check outĀ Blessed Mess Company!

This company is amazing! Ā Two women, Lauren and Ashely, make these pieces by hand and they are STUNNING! Their mission is to let girls of all ages know that they are the Daughter of a King! The vintage-southern-charm-type style has a unique Texas twist that sets the company apart from any designer I have seen. Ā The faith of these women is demonstrated in their work and words. Ā In the about section of their Facebook page; Lauren and Ashley testify:

Everyday is a gift from God! Everyday is a reason to dress up, wear pearls, tulle skirts and boots! Every girl should feel confident knowing “She is clothed with strength and dignity,” and she should “laugh without fear of the future.ā€ (Proverbs 31:25)

If your daughter, wife, mom or bestie doesn’t have a Miraculous Medal, get her one for Christmas. Ā Need more convincing? Ā Read this:Ā Five Reasons Why I Wear a Miraculous Medal – and Maybe You Should Too

A Handmade Wine Bag and Wine Charm Set

Jen Frost, the owner of Faith and Fabric, was inspired by aĀ priest who asked, ā€œIf your home were to be visited by someone who had never heard of Christmas before, would they think – based on your decor – that Christmas was a day celebrating snowmen? A large man in a red suit? Consumerism? Or the birth of Christ?ā€ This resonated *so much* with Jen and her family. Since then,Ā she hasĀ been inspired to make faith-focused projects – both fabric and not – for the home to help remind us throughout the year what we are celebrating. Faith and Fabric has many cool products – includingĀ Metal Stamp Cuff BraceletsĀ and Hand Stamped Charm Necklaces! Ā I love the Wine Bag and Charm Set – gorgeous, hand-made and practical. Ā The charms are so pretty and whenever we have people over, they are so fun and helpful!

A Bandeau, a Prayer Box and a Gift Set from Natural Life

NaturalLifeChristmasgifts.jpg

According to my 27 year-old sister, these Boho Bandeau’s are all over Pinterest right now, but really hard to find! I love the idea of tying a Prayer Box on a pack of them and putting them in a stocking or wrapping them as a gift! Ā By the way – they are REALLY soft! Ā One just might be included in the giveaway šŸ˜‰

Chocolate Made with Love and Prayer

Trappistine Quality CandyĀ is made by the nuns at Mt St Mary’s Abbey with great joy and love knowing how much people enjoy their candy. Ā It is truly quality and absolutely delicious! Ā What a great way to support the cloistered nuns who make it and a way to give a sweet gift šŸ™‚ Ā P.S. Ā Dark chocolate goes great with red wine!

A Subscription to The Little Catholic Box

Screen Shot 2016-11-23 at 9.33.16 AM.png

This Catholic Subscription Box is so popular, the December box is already sold out! Ā You can order a one-time box or a three month subscription. Ā If you choose to give this gift, use the coupon code CHOCOLATE for $5 off your 1st box (valid through Dec. 5th). Ā Once you order, send The Little Catholic Box an e-mail and they will send you a little card to print out that says a Little Catholic Box on the way (this way you have something to wrap or put in the stocking!) Ā What a great idea to have a gift on the way after the big day!

Lifeboat COFFEE

If you know a woman who loves coffee, here is a great gift! Ā K-cups can get pricey, so it’s nice to get them as gifts and enjoy a cup of coffee from a loved one. Ā If you are friends with someone who is a strong supporter of the Pro-Life movement, this will be extra special to them!

Personally, I love these rosaries from Small Things. Great Love. for how they look and because I know they are not going to fall apart in my pocketbook. The Divine Mercy Pocket Rosary is so pretty – and reminds me of a Candy Cane – so in my mind, what a great Christmas gift! Ā The bracelets are soft, durable and casual.

Cheers to Friday! šŸ· I was SO EXCITED when a while Cheers to Friday! šŸ·
I was SO EXCITED when a while back THE @stephanieweinert Stephanie Weinert tagged me in her #7quicktakes #sevenquicktakes #fridayintroductions post.

I’m jumping in today!

1. I recently took my own ā€œheadshotsā€. The first photo is one of MANY photos I took. It was super windy that day. If you need professional photos… give it a try - you can save a ton of $ this way! I used a tripod and my phone!

2. I see a lot of people posting photos of 2016. In 2016 I heard Gianna Emanuela (daughter of Saint Gianna) give a talk. I remember thinking, ā€œher Dad sounds like a saint too!ā€ I got to meet her. My husband and oldest son met her and asked her to pray that we could adopt again. 40 weeks later our twins were born!

3. Gianna Emmanuela is doing all she can to help the world see how holy her Father was. She has made prayer cards with Ecclesiastic approval. I’m asking Pietro Molla to intercede for a special intention. I will post more about this soon! He is such an inspiring man!

4. I have two guilty pleasures. I love getting my hair done and every once in a while I get a box from Stitch Fix. My coat was in one of those boxes.

5. I can’t remember all the pictures I chose for this post. I’m super forgetful. It’s not my age, I’ve always been this way. Saint Anthony is busy with just me most of the time.

6. We are taking our Christmas tree down this weekend. I loved our tree so much this year. My husband, all 3 children and me picked it out. We all agreed upon it and it really is so perfect.

7. I’m not so great at tech. I don’t know how to go back and see which pictures I posted without deleting this whole post. I promised after this post I would play a @saints.alive.pod episode for my daughter. I’m off to listen to another episode for at least the 3rd time. Hoping a new one comes out soon šŸ˜‰

Thank you for reading all that! I’m so grateful you’re here! Tell me something about you!!!

Thank you Stephanie for tagging me months ago? ago… This is how behind I am on everything!

Why is it that girls can be SO MEAN!??? When I was Why is it that girls can be SO MEAN!???
When I was a ā€œtweenā€ I longed to fit in with the other girls that shared my interests… but, I was not welcomed.

It hurt. It hurt a lot.

I wondered why… why did they not want to be my friend?
Why wasn’t I considered ā€œcoolā€?

I asked my mom… and her advice to me was, ā€œJust Be Yourself ā€œ.

I know she wanted to help me… but I wish she not only said that, but handed me this book too.

That is why I wrote it.

God DOES have plans and talents unique to every person… but when we are young we are still discovering His call for us.

My Catholic faith saved me.

The wisdom of Our Lord and the Saints that surrendered their lives to Him are so helpful.

When I was a little girl, I vaguely remember a sil When I was a little girl, I vaguely remember a silver and blue medal fastened to my school uniform with a pin. My mom put that medal on my uniform. I don’t remember asking any questions, but I still think that blue was so pretty.
Fast forward about 9 years, and another memory surfaces… my Dad took our family to a church in a neighborhood we had to drive to. I remember parking across the street and entering the front doors of the @miraculousmedal Shrine. I recall the pads of paper placed on the marble in front of the different statues. These little memo šŸ“ pads were notes to God, asking Our Lady to intercede for us. I loved that I could write an intention but that one of the suggestions was ā€œfor a Catholic boyfriendā€ I was 15, I checked that box.
But honestly, I wasn’t a ā€œMaryā€ person when it came to prayer.
Any personal prayer addressed Jesus or God.
10 years later my friend’s Mom gave me a Miraculous Medal keychain. I put it on my keys and life went on…

And over a decade later… it was that shrine I went to with this big idea about a Catholic gift guide and a giveaway.

But confession, many times in between those years each and every time I was going through something hard,I visited that place.
I poured my hearts desires on those little memo papers.
I asked Our Blessed Mother to pray for me.
I begged God to answer my prayers.

And He did.

Without me knowing the details of the Miraculous Medal.
But that time I went in there with the gift guide and giveaway idea… I was asked if I was only going to write one blog post.

That question inspired a second.
I researched the Miraculous Medal and read that Our Lady promised graces, especially to those who wore it around their neck.

More graces? Yes please

I wrote a postā€¦ā€ 5 Reasons Why I wear a Miraculous Medal and maybe You Should Tooā€.
Church Pop @churchpop asked if they could publish it.
It went viral… at least viral for me.

And a few weeks ago, I brought about 30 women there for a retreat.

I didn’t pursue Mary, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal… I pursued her Son.
My pursuit was sloppy.
Like any mother, she couldn’t resist helping me a little.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you
